Do you play Words with Friends? I used to play with about 10 people at a time and now I only play with my Dad because every once in a while I completely forget about the game and don't play for days and my Dad is the only one to stick with me.
Qi. A word I never knew prior to Word with Friends. In Chinese culture it is the active principle of forming any part of a living thing. Frequently translated as life source, energy source, or energy flow.
That damn Qi can bring you tens of points! Land it on a triple word score and the 10 point Q will help you dominate your opponent, in my case, my Dad.

Great for Scrabble, Thank you! Do you have to name things? I do, it's silly but. . .the lights on the modem are "bubbles." Our robotic vacuum is R2D2, although that is from Star Wars. Things I like have to have names.
ReplyDeleteI do, but I don't think I'm as creative as you. Our Jeep is called "Jeepy", Clover's favorite towel is called "towely". I usually just add a "y" to the end. I do name people though, usually by their occupation or reputation. Again, I'm not very clever there either: "Farmy McFarmsalot". Maybe I need to put more effort into these names.
DeleteJen, my wife plays "Words with Friends." That sounds like a great Scrabble word! Isn't it pronounced "ch-eeee?"

I thought it was pronounced "key", but I looked it up and you're right!
DeleteI'll have to remember this one.
ReplyDeleteI featured your blog on my Q post.

I actually played Qi on a triple letter earlier today! Believe it our not, my post earlier today was on Qigong Massage, which is related to the Chinese concept of Q1( or Chi)!
ReplyDeleteI am terrible at Scrabble so I never played Words with Friends!! I had no idea that you could even use words like that.
