So, I'm down 35 pounds. Have I already told you that? Because I've been there and up about two and back down and up two and back down and it takes me forever to get from one ten pound increment to the next.
On the plus side I haven't been this weight since 2005. I'm wearing jeans RIGHT OUT OF THE DRYER! No more hanging them dry. I keep finding things in my closet that fit again, or fit better, or just fit.
On the negative side I have 25 pounds to go. Yes. 25. They told me that this morning. They think I should lose another 25. I have not been that weight since 1989. Seriously.
Also on the negative side: Thanksgiving
I just looked at one of the many scientific charts you can find on the internet and it says I should weigh between 139 and 153.
I'm motivated and worried at the same time. What do I have to worry about? I've lost 35! What's another 25? I can do this. Also? Thanksgiving.

That is really amazing Jen!!
ReplyDeleteI have lost close to 20 and I need to lose much more.
On to your questions: my washer isn't old, maybe 6 years old but the bearings were bad and it was going to be $500 to fix or $850 to replace the whole thing. I got the same thing, newer model.
The sweater came from Cato.
I get all my Uggs from their website but these particular ones came from Dillards last year. They have a huge selection. I have a few pair of the boots, the slippers and flip flops and they are worth every penny.
Nicholas works really hard and rarely asks for things so when he really likes something, I get it for him. He is happy with 2 or 3 pairs of shoes and wears them till they fall apart unlike my older son who is like his mother.
You should post a before and now photo of yourself.
Funny, I will find some pictures and post them. I'm having a hard time finding any good "before" pictures because I think I cropped the heck out of them trying to make myself look less fat. Congratulations to you too and thanks for answering my questions. I've never heard of Cato so I'm going to look them up.
DeleteI recently discovered your blog and enjoyed catching up. You are a true blessing in the lives of your kids. I can tell they are a blessing in yours as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan! How nice of you to say that. I really feel like I lucked out with these two. So many people have step-kid horror stories and we have always gotten along right from the start. I'm lucky to have them.
DeleteAlso--great job on the weight loss. I struggle with my weight. Currently I struggle buttoning my jeans.
