X is for Xerophile

  1. plant adapted for life with a limited supply of water; compare hydrophyte and mesophyte

A plant adapted for life with a limited supply of water.

All of my plants are xerophiles, just not by choice.  Actually, I only have a couple of Christmas cacti at home and an asapargus fern and a plant whose real name I don't know, but I've always heard it called "Mother-in-law tongue", in my office.

Happy weekend!
