That's what I feel like this morning and that's what I saw this weekend.
So we had a great time. Of course we did, because the three of us girls can have a great time anywhere. However...
1. I feel like I have a cold now from breathing all that second-hand smoke.
2. I can still hear bells and chimes and computer-generated sounds from the machines.
3. I didn't go to bed until after 12:30 Sunday morning (this happens approximately once every 3-4 years) and it takes me days to recover from that.
4. I feel regret for not capitalizing on this beautiful weekend and getting some yard work done.
While we had a great time, there were a few things I couldn't help but notice:
1. People smoke too much.
2. There are an inordinate number of people in a casino breathing from oxygen tanks.
3. No. 1 and No. 2 might be related...
4. If they weren't smoking or breathing from an oxygen tank, they were exceptionally overweight. I felt like a Sport Illustrated swimsuit model in there.
5. I saw a man yesterday morning, who I don't believe will live until the end of the month and I couldn't help but wonder whether this was his last hurrah or just something he couldn't get away from.
6. If you get over-excited about the person next to you winning something, they may or may not think you are a weirdo because on a penny machine 500 points is only $5.00.
7. People don't want to chitty-chat in a casino. I want to ask people where they're from, how they're playing, what is their method, etc. I repeat, they don't want to chitty-chat.
8. My two friends are the luckiest people I know. They each won large amounts of money and they each won a wine tour.
9. I won 20% off a wine tour.
10. On the plus-side...I only lost a total of $6 over the whole weekend and that was after I won $130.00 yesterday morning.
Join me tomorrow when I write about "U".

Based upon your post, I predict that you will never suffer from a gambling addiction. Thank you for a good laugh this morning.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the remainder of the challenge.
