Friday Download

In my Friday morning Manager's meeting, I realized that I had several photos I hadn't downloaded.  There are big parts of the meeting that have nothing to do with me so I spend them looking busy on my phone.

This is a last minute trifle I made on the 4th of July.  I bought a red velvet cake and cut the frosting off.  Then I cut it up into bite sized pieces and layered it with Cool Whip and blueberries.  It was a hit.

Wednesday I took the long way home from Portland and while driving through Molalla saw my favorite part of Molalla.  The White Horse.  I always look at this and wonder what the guy who made this was thinking.  Did this really have to be a male horse?  Wouldn't a female have drawn less...attention?  Maybe that's what they wanted.

This morning I saw Teresa, the neighbors cat.  She's a sweet little calico cat and yes, her name really is Teresa.  I picked her up just in time for Clover to spot us and Teresa to freak out and scratch the heck out of my arm.

Since my interaction with Teresa wasn't enough to keep me away from other people's animals, I decided to kidnap my friend's dog, Jake.

I love him and I know her loves me and wants to come live at my house but Lance figured it out right away and now Jake is back in Lance's office.
A few weeks ago, I was in Longview and Clover and I went for a walk to pass the time before my meeting.  We saw this lovely hotel, The Monticello.  Built in 1923.

Oh, we're back to 4th of July now.  My Mother-in-Law is one cat away from being the crazy cat lady.  I think she has 5 right now, which is still somewhat crazy.  This is Salem.  He used to belong to The Boy, but when Sweaty Kitty came to live with us, Salem went to live with my In-Laws and he's now happy as a clam.

If you look closely, you can see that aliens have visited this hillside by my office.  Happy aliens.

Oreo Cookie Cupcakes.  My friend Kelly made them for my Retirement Party.

Whelp.  That's about it.  Here is my schedule for the weekend:
1. Sleep in, since I have been up by 6 for the last 19 days.  That means I'll wake up around 5:30 and not be able to go back to sleep.
2. Go buy some fabric to make some bags for the Brown Eyed Man and some pillowcases I will give as gifts.
3. Work on a crocheted baby blanket for a shower on the 18th.
4. Clean my house.
5. Do some yard work.

Tune in later to see if I actually get any of this done.
