It feels like Fall

Oh my gosh it was a beautiful day in Portland today.  Mt Hood is looking good.
So is Mt. St. Helens.  I could see the top of Mt. Adams at one point today too, but I didn't get back there for a picture before I left.
I have had the MOST unproductive day today.  I had planned to get some work done in our Salem office, then head to the project I've been working on in Portland and then maybe cut out just a bit early to avoid sucky Portland traffic.

BUT, all of the files I needed in Salem were left on my desk in Portland.  So I spent very little time in Salem, decided to go to Portland early, visit my site, come back to Salem and do the work I planned on doing in the morning.

As I'm driving from Portland back to Salem this afternoon (and the traffic WAS sucky at 1:30 p.m.) it dawns on me that I have (a) left my cell phone in the site trailer and (b) left all of those damn files on my desk again.  I want to punch myself.  No need though because I already smacked my head on some shoring and the roof of my car today.  Now, I'll have to come in to town early tomorrow morning, to meet one of the guys who is going to bring my stuff back for me, and again on Sunday to do the work I planned on doing this morning.

At some point during the day, Brown Eyed Man called me about something.  Usually it's "I just wanted to tell you I called someone that you don't care about to talk about something you don't care about..." or something like that.  Then he lingers.  "Well..." he says.  I say "I gotta go".  He lingers.  It takes forever to get off the phone with the man.

Anyhoo, during our conversation about being out of Spray-n-Wash and could I stop by some store other than the three he has already tried...he mentioned that it felt like Fall today and I've actually been thinking that for a couple of days.  I said "Well, the leaves are starting to change".  He said "No they aren't".  I said "Yes, they are I can see them right now".  He said "What kind of trees are they ?".  I said "Hell if I know".  He said "Hellifino is not a type of tree".  I said "I gotta go".  My god this guy thinks he's clever.

That's why I took this picture.  To prove that the leaves are indeed changing.

Finally, a word of warning.  Do not leave your camera with a crew of unattended construction workers or you may end up with this.  They think they're clever too.
