Dispatches from Portland

This picture has nothing to do with my week, but I like it.  I think it's a picture of my leg and the floor that I took while walking and holding my camera.  I'll be selling signed prints later for $ 250 each.  Let me know how many you want.
So this is the view from up by my office.  When I was a freshman in college, I lived in a dorm that was right across the street from a building that was being built.  I could spend hours watching the workers and the equipment.  Especially the cranes.  It's the same thing here.  If it were acceptable, I would just sit on top of this hill and watch all day.  There is so much going on.  Our crews are just a part of this and we're spread all around this hill.  I really need to remember my binoculars.
I take a few walks a day from top to bottom.  I stop and check out who is doing what.  I've found a couple of issues that other subs were responsible for.  Love doing that.  Love the walking too.  It's kind of like having a job where you go hiking every day.   I should have been a Park Ranger.  This is my favorite part of the project.  A long, quiet road from top to bottom.  It's nice and cool in here.
It has really not been all that exciting this week. I get to see a lot of our guys and I miss that. We used to have one huge office and yard and I saw all the guys every day. Now we're in seperate places and I only see them when I'm out in the field.

I only included this last picture because I thought it was kind of neat.  Clover was napping next to me while I was working on some embroidery and I just like the way the light glows over her eyes.  Actually I think this glowing spot is Daisy.  I've found her little glowing orb in a few pictures.  Usually when there is more than one dog in the house.  I'll find them and show you.  I'm not the only one who sees her so don't think I'm crazy.  Brown Eyed Man and I both see her in our peripheral vision all the time.  She comes and goes.  Sometimes she gets up early in the morning and I can hear her walk across the floor.  Not joking you.  Our house is haunted by a dead Labrador.
