Travelling and Thanking

We finally made a decision about the airline tickets.  We always go to Las Vegas in January for the SHOT Show so we decided it would be best to just use them for that trip so we don't have to spend the money.  Lame I know.  I really don't like Las Vegas, but this time we decided we would go a little early and visit the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead.  Some things that are off the strip.  Way off the strip.

I had several great suggestions for places to visit, and they are definitely on the list should we find ourselves in this situation again.  Our major dilemma with travel is that Brown Eyed Man wants to either (a) do business, or (b) shoot, on any vacation we take.

In 2005 we went to Hawaii.  The first 4 days were spent exploring the Big Island and the last 4 days were shooting.  Our honeymoon?  We went to Spokane, WA and ... wait for it ... went shooting.

I travel a lot for business and I've gone to some great places like Washington D.C., Orlando, Tampa, Dallas, and St. Louis but I want to take a vacation where I can just sit and relax or do whatever I want.  I don't want a work/vacation combo and I don't want a shooting/vacation combo.  I want a vacation vacation.

I'm still in the middle of my Thank You notes.  I created an entire spreadsheet with names, why we were thanking them, addresses, etc. and then I forgot to save it.  Genius.  I'll be re-creating that monstrosity today.

My thoughts for the day:
1. People are crazy and Corey Cogdell is actually a very nice person.  I shot with her once many years ago when she was still in high school.
2. Randy Travis is crazy.
