Victory? Vesta? Vacation?

Project X is progressing and I'm thinking Victory on my part, but I won't speak too soon.  As in, I won't speak until next year's legislative session is over.  So, it's a wait-and-see kind of thing, but I'm still feeling victorious about it.  I forgot Thor's Hammer though.  Hopefully I won't need it.

Vesta.  it's my Mom's name. She was named after an Aunt who died of Scarlet Fever.  Vesta is a Roman Goddess of the hearth, or home.  People know my Mom every where we go.  We were in O'Hare Airport one time back in the 90's and a guy came running along yelling "Vesta!".  We live in Oregon.   People LOVE my Mom,  Seriously, everyone I meet tells me how great she is.  And she is. 

She stayed at home with Brother and me until was in Jr. High.  Then she got a part time job working at a pharmacy and she volunteered at the hospital.  Then she started working at the hospital.  Now she's the director of a major department at the hospital.  No college.  Just a good hard worker. 

You can't get that far without a degree these days.  Gone are the days or starting at the bottom and working your way tot he top.  In most companies, at least.

Anyhoo, my Mom lost her 2nd cousin yesterday and she was more like an Aunt to her and I feel bad for her because the last of that older generation is disappearing. 

Vacation.  I need one.  Brown Eyed Man and I are having a mini, one-night vacation this weekend.  I can't wait!
