What do you call your parent's dad? We had one we called Grandpa and one we called Gramp.
Our kids call my dad Papa or Grandpa. They call Brown-Eyed Man's dad Papa.
My friend is called Pop by his grandkids.
My Sister-in-law had a Step-Grandpa she called Pop Pop.
Brown Eyed Man refers to his Grand Dad. I personally like that one best.
It just occurred to me, during Easter, that we have these names and I wonder who it is that decides them? Is it the parent? For example, did my Mom and Dad refer to their parents in a way that I adopted? My cousins called our Grandpa "Pa", because that's what their Mom called him.
My Boss' grandson calls him Bill. I asked him why and he said "That's his name". As if I'm an idiot. He's 4. That is all he ever hears him called. Bill.
Does this matter? No. I just wonder about things like this. It keeps me from getting any real work done.
