Oh No

See this dog?  She's awesome.  She's been feeling a little neglected lately and that is because the Brown Eyed Man is making me work in his sweatshop.  More on that later.

We have a routine, she and I.  I get up, get ready for work and go out to the living room and let her out of her crate.  Remember the scene from  Christmas Vacation where the Aunt brings a gift and it's actually her cat wrapped up in a box?  Chevy Chase is holding the box and it's shaking all over?  That's what her crate looks like when I walk out.  There is no being that is more happy to be alive every morning than Clover.  As soon as I get about two inches of the crate un-zipped, she bolts out.

I let her into the garage for breakfast.  I re-fill her water bowl while she eats and we head outside.  I walk over and put the neighbor's paper on his porch while she does her business.  Sometimes I trust her and I go back  in while she stays out for a bit.  This morning she took advantage of that and I had to track her down two houses away.  Sometimes, while I wait for her, Sweaty Kitty comes and visits.  We chitty chat on the porch and she hisses at Clover when it's time to go back in.
We go back into the house and I get my stuff ready for work, while Clover goes back to the garage for water.  As I leave she goes into The Girl's room and stays there until The Girl gets ready for school.  Then it's into the outside kennel.  It's 6' x 12'.  Don't worry about her.  She has a gigantic dog house my Dad built for Daisy.

This morning she barfed up all of her breakfast on the floor in The Girl's room.  She missed Girl's laptop by inches.  Girl wasn't happy.  I received a strongly-worded text.  Now Clover has to go straight outside every morning when I leave...

I'm going to do that for a couple days and then start putting her back in Girl's room.   She will have forgotten by then.

    1. Thank You! What kind of dog did you get? Clover is the second dog I've had as an adult and I don't know how I could go with out a dog now. When Daisy died, I thought I would never get another dog, but after about 6 months I realized how much I missed that companionship.
My husband does not understand it and I think he's even a little jealous of her. Who could not be in love with a being that loves you so bad their whole body wiggles when they see you?
