This must have been some sort of snomobile club or something. Can't imagine why they called it off. Only 30 below. Wusses.

Snomo at Mattfields. Beautiful warm day. 4 degrees at 8 a.m. 29 degrees at 6 p.m.
12 people, 10 cats, 1 Deere (These are the types of snowmobiles). Trees covered with frost. D Anderson, Bugelson, L&K Mattfield, Pa & Ma, Smiths (I think this is our family), J. Martins. One lone Bauer.

At that time, Sugar Lake was probably just a lake. Now it's has a huge resort and condos and houses all around it.

Otter dived when the eagle came.

Woodchuck across the front lawn.
Big sheet of ice broke off at 4 p.m. and away she went.
Biggest of remaining ice went out about 5 p.m.
