Gram's Journal Project - 2nd half of March 1973

So I was an entire year off yesterday.  I thought it seemed odd that I was exactly 40 years back in her journals.  It's only 39.  I had to go back and correct all the dates in the last post.  So here we go with the rest of this riveting month.

Monday, March 19, 1973
1 pair of mallards at the mouth of the creek
Merganser & Whistlers here

Tuesday, March 20, 1973
5 mallards in the air
Jim sold the boat, etc.  Got a 4 wd pick-up
Betty here
Jim & Vesta here
To see Dr. Johnson for the last time.
Saw the mink late in the day.

Wednesday, March 21, 1973
4 pair of mallards at the creek mouth.
Redwing blackbirds here.
Can see only one or two whistler in the a.m.
Mink crossed river from left to right side.  2 mallards followed it. Why?
Saw the eagle catch a rat on the right side of the pump.

Thursday, March 22, 1973
12 mallards here.  Left when I went to put out bird seed.  Didn't come back.
Eagle here.  Went up the river.  Here again at 4:30.

Friday, March 23, 1973
No birds or beasts.
4:15 p.m. Eagle ate something up river on the right side.  Flew off with the remains.
Someone moved McCabe's trailer this p.m.
Up to 56 degrees today.

Sunday, March 25, 1973
2 blue herons here

Monday, March 26, 1973
Sunshine - Beautiful but we need rain.
Not much to see.
Haven't seen the mink lately.
Herons fishing.

Tuesday, March 27, 1973
Pair of ducks here. 
Small animal tracks in sand on back walk.

Wednesday, March 28, 1973
Purple finches here.  Juncos.
Also Pipits

Thursday, March 29, 1973
Lots of birds and ducks.
Rainbow for supper.

Friday, March 30, 1973
26 degrees.  Heavy fog and frosty.
Lots of juncos.
River continues to rise.
