Thursday Download and what the heck have we been doing?

Do you ever wear a bracelet on the hand that you write with and it drives you nuts all day until you can't stand it and then you move it to the other hand and wonder why you had it on your writing hand to begin with?  Well I do.  Don't know why I put that thing on this morning anyway.

So...It's been a whirlwind week here and next week will be even whirlwindier.  Saturday morning I woke up and knew I had a ton of paperwork to do so naturally, The Girl and I headed into town and went shopping.  After a couple weeks of snow and rain, we had a beautiful 67 degree day.  It was wonderful.  We had a late lunch at a local place I love called Word of Mouth Bistro.  In addition to our lunch, they treated us to a special dessert - a cinnamon roll pancake.  It was so good I didn't want to eat my lunch.  But since I'm trying to lose weight (21 pounds so far!), I only had two bites.

Sunday, since I still had a ton of paperwork to do, Berneice and I decided to go for a hike.  It's the same hike we tried to go on a few weeks ago when we took The Boy's directions and got lost twice.  This time we found where we wanted to go and then realized we had already hiked it but what-the-hay, we hiked it again.  Since we just had a 67 degree day on Saturday, of course we hiked through a ton of snow and downed trees.  Spring-time in Oregon is a surprise every day!
The hike was wonderful, of course, and we had a great time. Clover was mildly insane.  We walk through a field where there is a herd of cows and calves and she really wanted to play with them, but their dislike of her and her underlying fear of them prevented any interaction other than her barking "Hey! Cow!".
I brought my camera, but no memory card so I had to use my cell phone for these award winning pictures.

Last week I had to drive to Medford for a meeting.  I swear, I spend over half my time in the car, in a meeting, or in a hotel room.  Anyway, when I left the house we had 4-5 inches of snow.  Medford had nothing.  I went to dinner with some friends and didn't even need a coat.

On the way home, I got this shot of a rainbow - almost a double.  You know what that means.  Actually, what does it mean?
So, now I'm all out of order on my recap, but Monday The Girl got a call from a well known TV show that has to do with modeling.  We had gone to a casting call for this particular show a few weeks ago and they were calling her back to tell her she had made it to the Sem-Finals!  When she called me, I had to hold the phone away from my ear because she was screaming so loud.

So, that night I spent about 4 hours planning flights, car, hotel, etc for a two day trip to L.A.  We fly down on Wednesday morning and will come back on Thursday afternoon.  Then we'll throw everything into the 5th-wheel and drive to Roseburg for the annual Easter gathering.

Yesterday I went to Olympia, WA for a meeting.  I think I figured that in the last three weeks, I driven over 1,500 miles.  I've listened to 3 books on CD and stopped at about 45 rest areas because I'm trying to increase my water intake which, in turn increase my water output.  The trip up was like driving through a monsoon, but when I got there it was relatively nice.  I walked around the marina at the west bay of Budd Inlet.  Did I take pictures? Uh...no.  I did get this 5-star photo of the Capitol building though:

You're welcome.

With the exception of The Boy making some major life decisions that I won't go into here out of respect for his privacy, and some legal matters we've been working on because some jerky big company trademarked the name of our company and now we have to change EVERYTHING, I think that about covers it.  That sentence was too long.
