I take more pictures of the dog than I do of my kids. She's with me more than they are I guess. Either that or they don't do anything entertaining enough to warrant photos.
Every night around 7, Clover settles in for the evening. She's worn out from playing with her bath towel or showing all of her toys to the cat. She climb up on the back of the sofa and rests her head on my shoulder.
This is a bad habit we've gotten into. This dog on the sofa thing. I toss blankets all over it so we don't have a dog hair sofa, but instead it looks like we live in a college apartment. The back sofa cushions are all mashed from the weight of the dog. I'm always trying to re-shape them. I'm thinking of contacting La-Z-Boy to see if I can buy just the innards of the cushions.
Sometime she doesn't lay on the back.
This is 1970's Clover. I was using the Alladin setting on Pixlr-o-matic app on my phone.
Saturday we made our usual walk at the river. It was hot, it was cold, it was rainy, it snowed, it hailed and it rained all in a 2 mile walk.
Pixlr-o-matic on the Hagrid setting. Shiny dog.
The other day I stopped at the local pet store to pick up some dog food. They didn't have the kind I use. They used to carry it, but not anymore. I wondered out loud "What am I going to do now?". Really the question was whether I really wanted to go into Salem to buy dog food, not what kind would a switch to. The guy said "Maybe you should start buying some better food". That was when I decided I would never shop at this store again. Newsflash Dog Food Guy: Don't insult your customers. It's not like I feed her crap. I consulted several sources and my vet before picking the food. As a matter of fact, I did all of that before I even bought the dog.
People. Sheesh. Maybe that's why I enjoy the company of my dog so much.
