Week in Review

We will start with Sunday:
1. The Girl graduated.  As usual, a ridiculous number of friends and family members came to celebrate.  Not quite as many as when The Boy graduated, but still a sizable group which included the kids' former step-dad and his sister and her husband.  It was very nice to see them and chat.  He has gone through a huge life-changing ordeal over this past year and a half and I was glad to see him make the effort to be her for her big day.
2. I made too much food.  We will be eating, potatoes, beans and pasta salad for weeks.

3. I got this stupid idea to buy green and yellow M&M's for part of the decorations/food.  See them in the jars above?  When the Boy graduated, I bought personalized M&M's and ended up spending $65 for a small amount of them.  Smart girl that I am, I decided to hit the candy store at the mall and buy them.  As I was about to tell the girl about my stupid $ 65 purchase, she told me my total was $ 82.95.  I almost choked.  They looked good though.  We'll be eating those things for a while too I guess.
4. I got all crafty and made this banner.  Most people came in the back door and didn't see it...of course.

Monday:
1. The Girl entered a mild state of depression when she realized she is done with high school and has no concrete plan for the rest of her life.  This lasted for two days.  I'm not sure she bathed.
2. I entered a mild state of depression when I realized how damn much food we still have.
3. I had a conference call that only lasted 1.5 hours and we actually accomplished some goals!
4. While I was on my conference call, Clover broke into her dog treats and ate half a box. 

Tuesday:
1. At 12:45 a.m. I was awakened by a very thirsty dog with a lot of diarrhea.
2. Upon returning home from work, I got to clean 3 piles of poo out of the kennel.  Brown eyed Man will let her in and out but draws the line at poo clean-up.

Wednesday:
1. We still have too much food left over.  I should have taken it to work, but now I feel like I'm past that point where it's still fresh enough to foist upon my friends.

Thursday:
1. The Girl found out that America's Next Top Model is having an open casting call in Medford on the 25th.  Back in March we tried to go to one in Portland and when we got there we found that we were missing half of the materials needed to audition.  We went shopping instead.  We'll take all of the right information this time.  I can't afford another consolation shopping trip.
2. I got an "atta-girl" from my Boss for doing my job.  Really, that's all I did but apparently someone thought it was pretty great of me to do my job and they told him and he told me.  Yay me!

Friday:
1. A headhunter called me today.  It was weird and I felt like I was cheating on my job.  It did kind of make me feel good though.  Like someone else out there wants me.
2. We still have too much food.
