Labor? I hardly know her.

Friday morning started out just right.  I got some work done.  I started off on my drive to Medford.  I got to take a road I hadn't taken before and I arrived at the club by Noon.  As I pulled into the parking lot, Brown Eyed Man is just pulling in from getting his morning Dutch Bros.  Nice to see him after a night away.

Met up with my friend KC and we hopped into the car, went shopping, gibby gabbed about who, what and where and we're like peas and carrots.  We can be apart for a whole year and then see each other and pick up right where we left off.

Saturday, we went with some ladies from the club on a tour of various sights.  We went to a really cool flour miller in Eagle Point.  Butte Creek Mill is the last water powered flour mill west of the Mississippi river.  The owner took us on the tour and later we were able to buy some of their products and shop in their antique shop.

We had a lovely lunch on the Rogue River.  Seriously, this was a beautiful day for it.  The Rogue River Lodge was a beautiful place right on the river.  The food was great.  If you go there, I would recommend the Southwest Chicken Sandwich and make sure whatever you get comes with their parmesan fries.  Mm!

We lingered there for two hours.  These ladies could linger.  Later, KC and I decided we could have done the whole trip in 2 hours.  I think it took about six.  We stopped by a a make-up store where half of us didn't know what we were doing and the other half were going hog wild.

Finally, we stopped at a gourmet chocolate shop where I tried a chocolate bar that had three types of super hot chilies.  I thought I might die.  Lastly, we stopped at the one and only place I could have not done without.  The Rogue Creamery was my dream shop.  Cheese!  A ton of different cheeses, curds, fresh butter, balsamic reduction, I could go on.  $ 75 later and I was done.  Oh, I guess not!  I hadn't tried the wine.  I had to go back and taste and buy.

In the end, there were a few bitchy things said, a long-drawn-out day and KC and I were happy to be back by ourselves at the 5th wheels to make supper for the guys.  We had a few friends over for supper, drinks and conversation. One of my favorite parts of trapshooting is the evenings and the groups that gather and chat.

Yesterday, we stuck around the club and laid low.  I napped.  I polished some old trapshooting trophies I found from 1934. We nibbled on cheeses and salami and crackers.  I made the most delicious Bruschetta from the Pioneer Woman.  Does anyone NOT want to be her?  It was a huge hit and surprisingly so with the Brown Eyed Man.  Shocked, that is what I was.

We got up and came home this morning.  We left the truck and 5th wheel there as we're going back in two weeks.  The Boy came home last night and it's now 7:00 p.m. and we have yet to see him.  Clover was not as excited to see me as I thought she would be.  Kind of a let down.  I see where we rank on their priority lists.  The Girl had a date with the latest Dreamboat to sail through our front door.  We'll see how long before she makes him walk the plank.

Happy Labor Day.
