Tuesday Download

Not much to report this week.  Most of the pictures on my phone and/or camera were jobsites and unless you're really into heavy civil construction, they aren't very interesting.

Clover and I went for our usual Saturday morning walk at the river.  It was frosty and cold, but sunny.  My favorite kind of day.  Usually we see at least one other person, but today we had the river all to ourselves except for the ducks.  I could hear some duck hunters across the river, but we never see them.

While we walk I think about everything.  It's a nice time to solve a problem, or come up with a plan, or just let my mind wander.  Here are just a few of the things I thought about:
  • Maybe I'll paint our bathroom today
  • Maybe I'll paint the other bathroom today
  • Maybe I'll paint The Boy's bedroom today
  • Maybe we need a committee to promote the shoot and that includes designing the pin (this only makes sense if you're me or one other person)
  • I think I'll finish making applesauce when I get home
  • I think I'll make a hook rug with those old t-shirts
  • I don't want to drive to town
  • Maybe I'll get The Girl to go to town with me
  • I wonder what I should get Brown Eyed Man's Mom for her Birthday
  • I wonder what I should get my Mom for her birthday
  • I wonder what I'll get for my birthday
  • What should I do for The Boy and The Girlfriend for Valentine's Day?
  • I wish there were some estate sales today
  • Maybe I'll stop at that new thrift shop on the way home
  • Maybe I won't
  • I need to stop and buy gas on the way home
  • Maybe I should check our post office box
  • I think I'll finish painting my candlesticks today
  • This dog needs a bath
  • I don't want to give the dog a bath, it's too cold outside and we'll make a mess inside
  • Maybe I'll take her to Pup in a Tub, but I don't want to go to town
Meanwhile, Clover is running, smelling, swimming, and generally going insane when I make her stop to take a picture:

She's thinking: "Why are you stopped?"  I don't know Clover.  Let's go.

  1. I hear you about the commenting. I supposedly have 100 followers but never more than 5 comments or so. Thank you for the Vegas hints. We are not going out of town after all since our restaurant is being remodeled and all our employees are going insane this month. We will have dinner out and I got a new phone. We will go to Hawaii next year like we did last and I am happy with that news. Every other year, husband says. Blah.
I like hearing the journal. Lots of duck news, kinds quirky (quacky)
Mine started as a journal and I will continue that as I have time. My sister actually gets her blog printed into a book every year.
