Can't believe I haven't posted in over a month. Why is December so busy? Why is busy so popular? I was reading an article about the glorification of "busy". It's like a badge of honor that you're "busy". Personally, I would prefer to have some time on my hands. This morning I really have a bunch of work to do, but I'm reading blogs, checking up on Facebook, reading the paper, drinking coffee and playing with Clover. But I feel guilty about it. Way down deep inside, I'm guilty.
So, since I haven't been keeping up on posting, I'll let you know what I've been up to in reverse order. We'll start with yesterday. Of course I had a meeting at 7 a.m... It was a good one, it went three hours and it didn't feel like three hours.
After the meeting, I high-tailed it home and met up with Brown Eyed Man and my Father-in-law. We bundled up and drove down to the state capital. We went to the Guns Across America event. It was amazing. There were at least 1,000 people there. Some say more, some say less. We said the Pledge of Allegiance, we sang the National Anthem, there was an opening prayer, there were wonderful speakers and there were hundreds of people carrying openly and probably some carrying concealed. No confrontation, no violence, no chanting, no yelling. Just a group of people who believe in the same cause working together to promote that cause.
We joined the Oregon Firearm Federation, a political action committee. So, yesterday was a day of firsts. First rally for anything. First political action committee. I completely believe in both.
Having trouble uploading pictures so I can't show you the great shot of my Father-in-law and me.
