Hillbilly Wedding

As promised, yet a few days later, I'm sharing with you my photos of the wedding we recently attended.  It was the wedding of a friend of The Boy.  Our friend Calvin was the minister so that was an added benefit of attending.

Oh, it was a hot day.  I couldn't imagine sitting outside on a 95 degree day, but as it turned out, we were very comfortable.  The wedding was in the afternoon and we sat in the shade.

Does this place look familiar?  It's the same place The Boy moved to a few months ago!  I know, when you read that post, you thought "Wedding!"  I don't know why I didn't think of it at the time.

Ohhh - White tuxedo.  Jake and The Boy. Jake married a 19 year old girl who is very sweet and they are a cute couple and I wish them the best, but (I hope she never reads this), you could tell this was a wedding planned by a 19 year old girl.

Berniece and me!  The wedding is about to start and we're watching all the guests arrive.  One of The Boy's friends came and sat next to the Brown-eyed Man, his girlfriend sat in front of them:

Note the spurs?  She's dressed up.  How do I know this?  Because as soon as the ceremony was over, she bolted back to her pick-up and changed into jeans and a t-shirt.  Those must be her fancy spurs.  Cute dress though.

Here comes The Boy and a bridesmaid.  They are clearly thrilled to be a part of the special day...

Calvin, Jake, Best Man, The Boy and two other guys.  I really did love the look of this clean field behind them.  I never would have thought that a wedding would work out in this place, but it was a beautiful setting.

See?

After the ceremony, I wanted a picture of The Boy and The Girl.  Their friends helped them get ready for the photo.  Good friends.

Off to take some post-ceremony photos...

Kind of cute.  Not loving the white flats but it made them all at or about the same size as the bride.

Apparently they weren't that comfortable either as one of the maids decided to change into these brown beauties.  This was approximately 10 minutes into the reception.  Who has good manners?

I wish that I could have taken a picture of one them walking around with her cell phone shoved into the cleavage of her dress.  Totally classy.

They had a nice barbeque, but since the entire place was swarming with yellow-jackets, we opted out and went to dinner in town.

Ahh young love...
