Come-along

Guess what we got?  You are going to DIE of jealousy.  I know that many of you envy me and my extravagant lifestyle and I don't want to flaunt our good fortune but I just had to show you the new come-along Brown-eyed Man and The Boy found at a metal shop.  Can you believe our luck?
I use the term "new" loosely as it's clearly just new to us.  What is this thing you may ask?  Why does The Boy look like he just got a face lift you may ask?  I don't know the answer to either.  My basic understanding of a come-along is that you have a really heavy thing that you need moved and you hook it up to this come-along and something else that's stationary and then sort of backwards jack it toward yourself.  Who cares really?  I don't have anything that heavy that needs to be moved.  Brown-eyed Man and The Boy do though.  They couldn't wait to show it to me.

I've been trying to take some pictures of Clover to keep you updated on her awesomeness but, I don't know if you know this, it's really hard to get a puppy to sit still long enough to take a picture.  Here she is playing with one of her 752 toys, Pinky the Hedgehog.

I say "Clover!" to try to get her attention and she looks...in the opposite direction.
I say "Clover!" about 15 more times and she finally looks at me wondering why I won't stop saying that word.  She looks like a demon dog with her glowing eyes.  Why can't I have one of those blogs with the beautiful photos?  Because I take pictures with my cell phone.  That's a potty pad in the background.  She likes to chew on it.
She weighs 16 pounds.  She eats like a wild hog and she should be a puppy model.
And now, for your reading pleasure I will give you a list of things I hate today:
1. People that wear pajamas and/or slippers in public.
2. Men that can't drive in the snow.
3. Women that can't drive in the snow.
4. The Boy is 22 and can make his own decisions and doesn't always listen to my opinion and I have to just let him work things out on his own and I really want to just make him stay at home and never leave.
5. The Girl is getting dangerously close to thinking like The Boy.

Now for things I love:
1. The Brown-eyed Man for loving this little puppy even though he said he never would.  Last night he had her up in his lap playing and snuggling and I asked him what he was going to do when she is fully grown and he said "I'll invite her up into my lap and play".  He tries to be tough but he's a softy.
2. Snow
3. Daisy - Still miss her.
