They had a petting zoo!
Cute little goat. I have tasty thumbs.
Look at all the little hands waiting to reach in and touch that calf. This is either Timon or Pumba, there were two and there was no sign telling who was which.
This is the other calf, either Timon or Pumba. They're Guernseys. So pretty.
Here, the Girl is showing Timon or Pumba that they have the same color hair. Timon or Pumba wants to eat the Girl's hair.
This is one mean-ass goose or duck or devil foul. Why in the world they let these things around children is beyond me. He or she was MEAN.
What trip to the pumpkin patch would be complete without a photo of a giant pumpkin. This was this year's state champion pumpkin at 1,574 lbs. Here is what I want to know: Why?
I bought a box of apples to make apple butter. The kids all bought pumpkins. Berniece bought some apple cider donuts and some apple cider. All in all it was a fun trip. Might have been more fun if we were about 7 but I always enjoy my time with Berniece, the Boy and the Girl and I'm really starting to enjoys the Boy's girlfriend.
Crafty update: I went to a bazaar-ish thing on Friday night. It was a Black Autumn event and they had all kinds of neat antiques, handmade things, re-purposed things, and jewelry. I bought a cute little black spider to hang on our Halloween wreath and it was promptly eaten by Clover within 10 minutes of my arrival at home. I also bought an old tablecloth that I'm going to use to make pillowcases. Will update you on that later.
I've been seeing these burlap tablecloths and table runners since last year and I always think I want one. I even had one in my basket last year at a bazaar and ended up butting it back because of that one thing that runs through my head at these things "I can make that cheaper". So, Saturday while running errands in town, I picked up some burlap and some neutral fabric for the back and it cost me a total of $ 19.88. The bonus was that I have enough to make 2! I think it maybe took me an hour and a half. It will probably take less time for the second one since I know what I'm doing this time around. Anyway, here it is!
I love it!
