Last night was the Father-Daughter dinner at the Girl's school. It's only for senior girls and their dads. There was much build-up. He had to give the school a special memory of her. She had to do the same as well as making him a memory box. They played a version of the newlywed game where they had to answer questions about each other. I wish I could have gone too. Just to see all the Dads and Daughters. It was a "fancy" dinner. The Girl was worried that her dad wouldn't go if he couldn't wear Wranglers. He can clean up real good when he wants to:
I asked the Boy if he went to the Mother-Son dinner when he was a senior and he said no. I asked whether his mother had known about it and he said yes. Yet another reason I would like to have a talk with her.
So, while Brown-eyed Man and the Girl were out together the Boy and I decided we would have our own version of the Mother-Son dinner. We went to the local tavern and had dinner there. He said it was better than anything the school would have done anyway.
